I’m passionate about helping charities use communications to help their cause – no matter how small your budget.

I have over 13 years experience of communications in the charity sector. Before this I worked in both the IT and TV industries. I have a Masters in Computing and a degree in Communications Studies. This gave me technical knowledge but with the ability to explain it in plain English!

I’ve worked with charities large and small, and understand the issues they face. Quite often there isn’t the budget for a full-time permanent member of staff yet they recognise they need a helping hand with communications. I can bring my specialist knowledge and flexibility, whether that be on a long-term contract, or for specific projects.

My wide range of experience includes managing award winning websites, running social media accounts, editing publications and ebulletins, creating media campaigns and a charity awards scheme, as well as managing staff and projects. I deliver workshops on using social media for small businesses, how to influence using social media, delivered one-to-one Twitter masterclasses and written strategies, articles, policies and guidelines on social media.
